Matured in a combination of bourbon and madeira casks, the nose has lush layers of fruity sweetness, showing apple, mandarin, apricot syrup, raspberry, and a nip of dried chile flakes, mingled with heady florals and honey aromas. It’s complex and spicy on the palate, with chile heat chasing flavors of mandarin, toffee, candied citrus, and choco- late, ending with a mouth-coating finish of red apple, cherryade, and chocolate-dipped gingerbread.
