A venerable closed-distillery dram with a perfumed nose, the senses detect aromas of Thin Mints cookies, mixed peel, straw, fruit teas, and dried fruits. Fruit syrup sweetness on the palate, with stewed orchard fruit, grapefruit, and citrus peel, the alcohol remaining quite punchy, then it yields to leather, dark toffee, and fruit tea, plus oak and tannic tea. Water generates brighter notes of lemon drops. (141 bottles)
