Matured for 39 years in a refill sherry hogshead, this closed-distillery dram shows aromas of fig, sultana, prune juice, cacao, arabica beans, treacle, and cinnamon. It has all the hallmarks of long sherry-cask aging, with a dark syrupy texture and flavors of black currant, stewed apple, black cherry, leather, brown banana, pecan pie, chocolate, black coffee, and oak tannins, leading to a lengthy, chewy, leathery finish.
