A 42 year old matured in a refill American oak hogshead, this has aromas of honeycomb, papaya, apricot, mango, and zested clementine, backed by an enticing combination of grapefruit peel and pleasingly bitter oakiness. A wonderful intensity of fruit at this strength, with mandarin, ripe apricot, gingersnaps, grilled pineapple, dried mango, and a gentle oakiness on the palate, ahead of a drying finish of baked orange.
