Green River U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Release, 55.55%

From Owensboro, Kentucky-based Green River Distilling, made in honor of a special milestone for the U.S. Army, this is a low-rye bourbon (14% rye). There’s lots of oak, but it’s not unpleasant, leaving room for luscious flavors of dark chocolate, sweet berries, chocolate acai bites, baking spice, berry hard candy, and grape jelly, with white pepper accents. Smooth and delicious on the finish, though water or ice is recommended.
