Hakushu Peated Malt 18 year old 2025 Release, 48%

Clean, pristine, and refreshing on the nose, with mint chocolate, freshly mown grass, charred oak, lemon peel, lychee, apricot, floral notes, and wisps of smoke. The palate has apricot jam, mango, yuzu, and Fig Newton initially, with peat smoke barreling through beautifully at the higher proof. Layers of ripe fruit follow, bathed in acacia honey, with a finish of tropical fruits, wood spice, smoke, cacao, and charred stave.
