There are no shortage of ways to enjoy a spine-tingling dram this Halloween season, from mixing up a confection-inspired cocktail, visiting a haunted distillery, to checking out one of the many distillery events we’ve rounded up here. From themed cocktail parties and costume contests to activities like bowling with pumpkins, readings, and bingo, there are plenty of festive spirits to enjoy this Halloween. Events begin October 24th through November 1st.
Great Jones Distilling Co.: Magic: Distilled
New York, New York
Friday, October 24th, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Enjoy the best that NYC’s top magicians have to offer at Manhattan’s oldest distillery in downtown’s NoHo neighborhood. A ticket includes access to a performance led by sensory illusionist and awarded magician Jeanette Andrews in the lounge on the second floor, a complimentary whiskey tasting, and two drinks from a select menu of cocktails, wine and beer. Mississippi River Distilling Co. Downtown Lounge: Nightmare on 2nd Street Halloween Party
Davenport, Iowa
Saturday, October 25th, 8 p.m.-12 a.m.

Whiskey Del Bac: Single Origin, The Art of the Whiskey and Chocolate Pairing

Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a treat or two, but it’s worthwhile to look beyond the mountains of candy for a more refined sweet experience. Cue Whiskey Del Bac’s chocolate and whiskey pairing. The label’s single malt whiskey is paired with Phoenix-based Embers single origin chocolate in a sophisticated flight, followed by a brief distillery tour and a discussion about chocolate sustainability and production. Garrison Brothers: Cocktail Class and Costume Contest with Caitlin Montlijo
Public Legacy, Orange, California
Thursday, October 30th 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Garrison Brothers is sponsoring a west coast cocktail class and costume contest at Public Legacy bar in Orange, California, about 30 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Visitors will learn how to shake a Paper Plane and stir a Black Manhattan, made with amaro. Guests will also get to take home a cocktail toolkit featuring a branded jigger, shaker, mixing glass, and cocktail spoon. A prize will be awarded to the guest with the best costume. Patapsco Distilling: Haunted Reads Book Chat

Thrillers, horrors, and a little paranormal romance is on the list at this haunted reading event hosted by Patapsco Distilling. Guests will enjoy a free cocktail to begin the evening and will end by selecting a complementary paperback book. Tickets are $32, available for purchase here.
Hudson House: Halloween Bingo and Halloween Ball

A round (or few) of bingo kicks things off on the eve of Halloween at the Hudson House, a former monastery in West Park, New York. Still Austin is hosting a free Halloween party chock full of live jazz. Costumes are not mandatory but encouraged, though those with the best one might win a bottle of the 6th edition Monster Mash release in the label’s Distillery Reserve Series. This year's blended whiskey is bottled at 56% and pays homage to an iconic horror film “The Shining.” The bottles will be available for purchase at the event.
Mystic Farm & Distillery: 12th Annual Mystic Halloween Costume Party & Haunted Trail
Durham, North Carolina
Friday, October 31st, 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
This Durham Distillery is hosting its 12th annual Halloween Party, and it’s jam packed with four main events.. A lineup of classic Halloween happenings is on the docket: tarot card readings, specialty cocktails, a costume contest, with live music and an array of food trucks to keep you going. Elsewhere, tune in to a scary story telling in the cemetery from the North Carolina Chapter of Horror Writers or if you want more of a thrill, an hour-long axe fighting class ($30) is available. Kings County Distillery: Dead Distiller’s Tour
Brooklyn, New York
Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Brooklyn’s oldest distillery is hosting a post-Halloween dead distiller’s tour wherein visitors are regaled with tales of the distillery’s haunted past. The stories draw from “Dead Distillers: A History of the Upstarts and Outlaws Who Made American Spirits,” a book by the distillery’s co-founders Colin Spoelman and David Haskell. Its current home in the Paymaster Building in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard also has a colorful history, as it neighbored the legendary Brooklyn Whisky Wars that unraveled in the 1860s. A mystery surprise is in store for those who keep Halloween spirit alive with a costume. Tickets are $40 and available online.
Casey Jones Distillery: Booze and Boos

October 31st, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. November 1st, 2025, 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Though not Halloween themed, this weekend is packed with tantalizing fall offers from Casey Jones. The night of Halloween is the pre-release party, kicking off with new Master Distiller Select single barrel bottlings available for purchase: a smoky maple finished bourbon and a honey barrel-finished barrel cut bourbon. Secondly, a Bottle Your Bourbon experience wherein patrons pick a whiskey that’s bottled straight from the barrel. Each bottle will be signed by master distiller Arlon Casey Jones and available on a first come first serve basis from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both the single barrel bottlings and the Bottle your Own Bourbon Experience are available all weekend, with Saturday including local food truck Palate Junkies available from 12:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and live music from Brandon McCarthy from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. The event is free.
Hard Truth: Sweet Mash Monster Mash

Hard Truth is hosting an all-day affair that extends into evening, with plenty of family-fun activities on the docket. A classic costume contest is in order, with the lucky winner given $100 to spend at the distillery restaurant. Patrons can enjoy classic rock from Black Water Revival and entertainment from five-piece band ensemble Masters Band, while kids can enjoy games of tic-tac-toe and bowling with pumpkins.
