Hardin's Creek Colonel James B. Beam 2 year old
ABV: 54% ● Price: $80 ● Style: Bourbon ● Origin: Kentucky
Part of a new limited series from James B. Beam, this whiskey was taken off the still at a lower distillation proof, highlighting the flavors formed during fermentation and proving that age isn’t everything. The nose hasnotes of green apple, honeydew, and lemon peel, as well as old-fashioned donuts and vanilla birthday cake. The palate is green and malty but in a captivating way, with matcha powder and chocolate milkshake. A peppery, coffee-laden finish rounds out an unconventional drinking experience. —Ted Simmons
