A combination of malt and grain whiskies distilled at the same Highland distillery was then matured in American oak for 58 years. The comforting calmness of an old whisky, with aromas of chocolate praline, dates, dark toffee, stewed apple, and wood spices. A distinctive silky mouthfeel, replete with flavors of date, sour plum, red cherries, licorice, treacle, and maraschino and coffee liqueurs. Prune juice and bitter cocoa-dusted black cherries on the finish. (74 bottles, 20 for the U.S.)
