Matured in new Appalachian oak casks, the nose is complex with black currant mousse, baked cherry, cake mix, toasted coconut, vanilla, candied orange, allspice, and ground fennel. The clean supple texture is built around rye spices and Ryelaw’s wonderful signature black currant note. It opens with warming toffee and vanilla fudge, adding ginger, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon, with sweet ginger and maple syrup on the finish.
