Full maturation in Bordeaux red wine casks gives this a concentrated fruity intensity, with aromas of black grape, black currant, plum, cherry, and orange peel, coupled with spicy oak, tobacco leaf, cinnamon, and gingerbread. Damson and raspberry jam on the taste buds, with cask strength spiciness giving way to raisins, red currant, mandarin, pineapple, and brown sugar, then a dark, sweet, syrupy finish.
