Isle of Harris The Hearach Château Biac, 50%

Fully matured in sweet wine casks from Bordeaux winery Château Biac—the first time the winery’s casks have been used to mature scotch. Candied sweetness, mango, papaya, orange, and vanilla on the nose. It’s quite light and well spiced on the palate, with baked apricots and gooey thickness. The finish has some nice length, showing tobacco and a thick sweetness. Very well done, as the balance is excellent.
