A mild, mellow dram, with fudge, background smoke, orange peel, florals, white pepper, and ground almond. It’s smooth on the palate, with honey, clementine, light smoke, fudge, pepperiness, then some stale chocolate bars, chestnut, and praline as the smoke builds up toward a climax of dark chocolate, licorice, and pepper. The interplay between the smoke and praline flavors works particularly well, but it’s the most tranquil blend in the range.
