J.P. Trodden Small Batch, 45%

Made from 70% corn and 30% winter wheat. Vegetal on the nose, this gives off a youthful and green quality, with seaweed, new wood, construction paper, vanilla bean scone, pencil eraser, and edamame pods. With water, chocolate brownies and Thin Mints emerge—a nice improvement. The palate is silky and further conveys its youth with salted peanuts, green bananas, and salt water taffy. Peppery spice punctuates a finish that seems a bit young and wood-influenced.
