Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend Armagnac, Sherry, & Cognac Cask Finished Straight Bourbon, 56.8%

This legacy distiller was revived by the founder’s descendant in 2015. Its Cigar Blend (in various batches) was created by master blender Nancy Fraley. The nose offers cherry, red berries, muted rye spice, vanilla and whipped cream. The palate has more red berry notes, fruity but also savory, with spice, pepper, and tobacco. A smooth yet complex finish. A great amalgamation of flavors, and yes, it would go very well with a cigar. (Release date: 9/23)
