Building upon the success of its straight rye and toasted barrel bourbon expres- sions, this one is aged in No.-3 char barrels before a finish in uncharred toasted oak. Earthy on the nose, with pine needles, grape candy, spicy grain, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is warm, sweet, and well-textured, offering ripe blackberries, vanilla, honey, and a dash of pepper spice. A long, smooth, creamy finish.
