A little closed on the nose, but persistence yields citrus peel oils, vanilla, fudge, peppercorn, Brazil nut, and toasted coconut-covered macaroon bar. This is sweeter than batch 2 with its first-fill bourbon barrels, and reveals vanilla, lemon tart, orange zest, burnt spices, baked orange, lime, almond, and toffee sweetness. The finish leaves some almond bitterness and slightly acrid burnt spices.
