Kilchoman 15 year old 20th Anniversary Cask Series Ex-Sherry Cask Matured, 52.7%

Very peaty on the nose, with maritime aromas of dried seaweed above smoldering peat embers. The palate is smooth, with jammy red fruits and the peat still very much in the picture, along with chocolate and a hint of aged tobacco leaf. A long finish of charred oak and peat has lots more jammy sweetness beneath the smoke. Overall, this one offers rich, viscous, and complex sweetness beneath big peat.
