KinGlassie 8 year old Double Matured, 46.3%

Heavily peated and initially matured in bourbon barrels before a 3-year finish in amontillado casks, it’s beautifully clean and aromatic, with peach, earthy notes, seasoned tobacco leaf, oolong tea, walnut, smoked orange peel, red berries, and blueberry aromas. Stone fruit, malt, and raspberry flavors; it’s mouth-drawing, with peppery smoke, pecan ginger cookies, dried cranberry, red apple, and leather. The finish is mouth- coating with stewed fruit, ginger, and dry peat smoke.
