With Blender’s Edition, master distiller Freddie Noe wanted a sweeter Knob Creek, and that’s exactly what he got. Aromas of vanilla, cassis, chocolate, cherry, and Raisinets waft from the glass. The palate, still on the sweeter side and ripe with plenty of red fruit, shows darker notes, including chocolate, leather, and wood spice. Maple syrup, barrel char, and a hit of peppery spice come forth on the finish, making for a bourbon with robust flavors that should appeal to non- bourbon drinkers as well.
