Kuju Distillery New Born Aged 7 months, 59%

Made from unpeated Laureate malt and aged in bourbon barrels, the nose has floral and citrus notes, with lychee, white flowers, lemon peel, yuzu, physalis, and lots of new make distillate character. Sweet and creamy on the palate, with lemon curd ahead of a surge of alcohol, then lime zest, honey, green melon, and dried apple. As a work in progress, this shows plenty of promise. Price per 200ml
