Finished in first-fill chianti casks for 8 months, the aromas unwrap red apple, pear, layers of caramel and malt, and gentle puffs of smoke. Pressed apple juice, raspberry, red currant, baked pear, cinder toffee, vanilla, and soft smoke on the palate. The texture thickens beautifully, adding mellow flavors of dark chocolate and fruit pastilles. It’s a great session whisky, with a mouth-coating finish of cocoa-dusted orchard fruit.
