A vibrant unpeated single malt with a bold sense of Colorado terroir. The aromatic nose offers fresh grain—bushels of it—plus licorice, coffee, oak spice, and dark chocolate. The palate is deliciously sweet, with apricot, vanilla, peach, and raspberry coulis, anchored by earthy flavors, clove, and pepper spice. The finish is long, complex, and spicy with specks of maple syrup and caffe latte sweetness, balanced against bitter oak. Good integration between the bitter and the sweet; harmonious with plenty of boldness.
