Lost Lantern Single Cask Series: Westland 9.99 year old Peated, 54.9%

Bottled one day shy of its 10^th birthday, so Westland could have the honor of unveiling its own 10 year old. Peat-like smokiness on the nose, with salinity and dryness, and hints of cinnamon sweetness. A spicy, smoky palate offers smokehouse influence, paprika spice, and barbecued ribs, with sweet cherry at the edges that gradually takes a front seat to the lingering smoke. A long finish intertwines the smoke and red fruit sweetness.
