Maker's Mark 7 year 2 month old Cask Strength, 56.3%

For the first time in its history, Maker’s tacked on an age statement to one of its bourbons, labeling the core cask strength a 7 year old. The nose is pleasant, punctuated by notes of dried fruit, trail mix, oak spice, vanilla, salted nuts, and caramel. On the palate, many of those aromas are replicated, and they’re joined by yogurt-covered raisins, date cookies, and a little dark chocolate. Rich chocolate carries this one home.
