Produced at Mars Shinshu Distillery and aged in bourbon, port, and sherry casks, this has a nose of pepper, ground ginger, cumin, sea salt, black olive tapenade, mushroom duxelle, fruit teas, and banana chews. With flavors of honey, almond fruitcake, orange zest, pepper, and clove, it retains the citrus sweetness throughout a long spicy phase, ending with dried cranberry, oak, persimmon, and bitter Seville orange peel in marmalade.
