Middle West 5 year old Double Cask Collection Napoleon Sun-Soaked Calvados Cask Finished, 61.9%

After 4 years in new oak, Middle West gives this a year of extra maturation in French apple brandy casks, creating an autumnal sip with excellent balance. On the nose, there are apples, figs, and sugar cookies, plus a hint of barrel char to round out the sweet aromas. The sip is robust and oaky, with dark chocolate, apple cider doughnuts, and gingersnaps. The finish is long and toasty, with baked apples and toasted oak.
