Middle West Spirits Dark Pumpernickel Cask Strength (Batch 001), 62.65%

Made from a mash that’s 80% pumpernickel rye, Middle West has crafted a unique rye with mellow spiciness and plenty of flavor. The nose is sweet and grainy, with raisins, dried apricot, and a hint of French toast. With water, vanilla frosting and banana pudding become more prominent on the nose. Despite the proof, this whiskey is an easy sipper, leading with chocolate eclair and more French toast, evolving to glazed fruit tarts by the finish.
