Smoked almond, sweet ripe honeydew, pear, nectarine, papaya, hints of blueberry muffin, some fresh oak and vanilla, and balanced pot still spices that don’t overpower the nose. Rich, syrupy, and sweet on the palate, with honey, dried apricot, candied citrus, caramel, and punchy spices melting into the nutty caramel and spicy ending common to the other single-tree expressions in this release.—JM
