Midleton Very Rare (Vintage 2024), 40%

Aromas of tantalizing citrus peels, rich vanilla toffee, zested lime, dried flowers, sliced pear, and hints of coffee, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The pot still spices are well integrated but play quite subtly in this vintage. The palate offers a light tropical fruitiness, plus nectarine, grape, papaya, citrus zest, spun sugar, vanilla, and American oak characteristics of honey, nutmeg, and toasted oak. A shift in flavor on the finish offers refreshment and zingy fruitiness akin to the 2018 vintage.
