The nose has refreshing floral sweetness, stone fruit, lemon sherbet, green foliage, dandelion, vanilla, custard creams, and a hint of peppermint cream. Matured in 55% shaved, toasted, and re-charred casks, 43% American whiskey barrels, and 2% oloroso sherry butts, it’s lightly fruity with melon, pear, and strawberry, plus biscuit notes, sweetened milk, caramel, pepper, and summer berry fruits. It’s a sweet dram, with a lengthy full-flavored finish of spice and silky caramels.
