On the nose, the latest New Riff single malt is rife with trail mix, candied nuts, raisin bread, banana nut muffin, and bubble gum. While the palate is a tad thin at first brush, the flavors are robust and rousing: Dark chocolate ganache and chocolate-covered espresso beans mingle with dried cherries and a handful of crushed herbs. Whoppers, cinnamon, and blueberry maple syrup take center stage on the lengthy finish. (Release date: 8/24)
