From two heirloom ryes (Horton and Field Race) from New York’s Finger Lakes region, made into whiskeys that aged 6, 7, and 8 years. Fragrant and fresh on the nose, with fresh grain, spearmint, and grape hard candy. Robust and peppery on the palate, but sweet, with grape jelly, banana bread, and cinnamon. Smooth texture, with a wallop of spicy rye and dark chocolate. The finish is long and spiced, with stone fruit sweetness of peach and apricot. (Release date: 2/24)
