Oban 15 year old Oloroso & Palo Cortado Cask Finished Cask Strength, 55.3%

This divine Oban was finished in oloroso and palo cortado sherry casks for over 4 years. The nose is a symphony of aromas, among them black currant, lemon pith, berry fruit, powdered sugar, and a subtle earthiness. There’s plenty of fruit, both berry and citrus, on the palate, as well as some hot spice and dark chocolate. That chocolate is more forceful on the finish, though it’s softened by vanilla cake, sweet lemon, and Rice Krispies Treats.
