Made from 100% concerto Islay barley, aged 4 years in oloroso sherry and bordeaux wine casks and finished for 1 year in madeira and muscatel casks. Warming spices and mellow peat aromas on the nose. The palate is sweet and has muted peat embers, spice, blackberry jam, figs, and dark chocolate, plus pronounced peat on the back palate. On the finish, vanilla, apricot, toast, pepper, and peat, all balancing beautifully. Deep, complex peat and spice intersect with vanilla sweetness and fruit on the finish.
