Aged in new toasted oak for 5 years and 8 months, then finished for 14 months in Sonoma gewürztraminer dry white wine casks. The nose is bright and lightly spiced, with cranberry, gingerbread, lychee, and bergamot. Bready and yeasty flavors emerge on the palate, including toasted grain and bran muffins, joined by dried fruits and citrus. The finish is a bit tastier, with snickerdoodle, gingerbread, and lemon zest. Interesting flavors that could be better integrated.
