A career-spanning expression for distillery manager Malcolm Waring, who distilled the spirit, filled the casks, and then bottled this 200th anniversary release. Aromas of chocolate orange, salted fudge, Bartlett pear, ground cumin, and orange twist. Rich citrus flavors, poached pears in red wine, summer red berries, and peppery spice, with cinnamon swirl, nutmeg, milk chocolate, vanilla pods, and leather. The thick-textured finish brings more cinnamon and nutmeg, plus dark chocolate and baked apple.
