Orphan Barrel Linkwood 18 year old Woven Honor, 46.3%

This Orphan Barrel release was aged entirely in bourbon barrels. The nose is curious, presenting apple-scented bath bomb, mango, and overripe pineapple. A pleasant crack of black pepper kicks off the palate, soon accented by baking spice, dried pineapple, and ladyfingers. There’s more to like (though not necessarily love) on the finish, which is dry and flavorful, led first and foremost by more baking spice and vanilla. (Release date: 10/24).
