Dried orange disc, baked sugar, dried fruit, stewed apple and bramble, mixed peel, and mild oak spice aromas. The flavors encompass baked apple with sugar, ground pepper, orange peel, and ground almond, then glacé cherry and Bakewell tart as the pepperiness ramps up. The grain whisky nature is more apparent in the mouthfeel and texture than the flavors, but this doesn’t quite match the buttery mouthfeel of last year’s release.
