Penelope 17 year old Light Whiskey (2025 Release), 69.4%

Distilled at Indiana’s Ross & Squibb (MGP) in 2006 from a mashbill of 99% corn and 1% malted barley. Arid earthy notes of dried oak and leather on the nose, with hints of red fruit. Baked cherries and raspberries on a hot palate that needs dilution, the water revealing a good balance of flavors. The finish offers more red berries and caramel. Nice flavors and balance, but not much flavor variation, and very hot. (Release date: 1/25)
