Aged in bourbon barrels for 5 years and finished in syrah casks from the Rhone Valley for 4 years, then given a final year of bourbon barrel finishing. A zesty, lively mix of aromatic peat and briny maritime notes with flavors of red berries, honeyed vanilla, and Red Hots. A thick, almost gooey texture, and a long, layered finish of the same flavors, plus pleasant notes of peppery spice.
