At first, the nose is reticent; eventually, notes of Werther’s, caramel macchiato, Whoppers, vanilla fudge, cherry cola, and cream soda arise. This makes the palate somewhat surprising—there’s a barrage of black pepper and deep dark chocolate, as well as tobacco and a whiff of charcoal. A nice roastiness emerges on the finish, with roasted hazelnuts and coffee beans abutted by the darkest of dark chocolate.
