Quite a funky nose, thanks to a combination of lemon Starburst, caramel-dipped green apple, orange peel, star anise, and dill. The heat on the palate is fierce, but once it simmers down (water is your best friend here), some more unusual flavors pick up, among them pumpernickel, salt-and-vinegar chips, and sweet clementine. The finish, while drying and a tad short, is enjoyable; rye fans should find plenty to love here, but it’s certainly not for everyone
