A 4 year old blend of single malt and grain whiskeys matured in heavily-charred bourbon barrels. The nose is a curious mix of balsamic vinegar, licorice, Worcestershire sauce, burnt fruitcake, savory herbs, and hints of black currant. Malty on the palate, with heather honey, smoked orange peel, maple syrup, and robust notes of burnt oak and coffee beans. The smoky finish shows clove and bitter oak.
