Ragged Branch Distillery Announces the Release of Foxfield Races Select Bourbon

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains about 100 miles southwest of Washington D.C., the beautiful city of Charlottesville, Virginia is home to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello (just outside town) and the University of Virginia. It's also home to Ragged Branch Distillery and Foxfield Races. In honor of Foxfield’s 45^th running of its steeplechase races on April 27^th Ragged Branch is releasing a limited-edition bottled in bond bourbon. This two-barrel release, available only in Virginia, was made from a mashbill of 68% corn, 16% rye, and 16% malted barley that was barreled on August 19, 2018 in No.-3 char American oak and on February 3, 2022, transferred to char No.-4 American oak barrels before bottling on February 7, 2024.

Ragged Branch’s grains are grown on its nearby 800-acre crop and cattle farm Pounding Branch. The spent mash from the distillery is used to feed the farm’s cattle.
