On the nose, this commands attention, with bold aromas of fudge, cigar tobacco, berry jam, and seasoned oak. A swirl deepens the aromas, bringing out cherries, strawberry hard candies, and almond cookies. The sip is full-bodied and viscous with flavors of cherry cough drops, caramel latte, and burnt earth. With time, oak emerges as a dominant flavor mixed with fruit sweetness and maple syrup. The finish lingers, balancing bitter char with caramel sweetness.
