Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Finish, 46%

This fifth Iberian Series release was initially matured in American whiskey and Spanish oloroso sherry casks, then finished 16 months in Málaga moscatel casks from Bodegas Quitapenas. Bramley apple, blueberry compote, nutmeg, damsons, and expressed peel oils fill the nose. An intense blueberry fruiti- ness starts the palate, with honeyed plum, toffee, cracked black pepper, and dried herbs that develop a rich creaminess before a finish of herbs and spicy fruit.
