Fragrant, almost perfumed oak, chalky dryness, earthiness, and fresh oak forest on the nose. Sweet and honeyed nectar on the palate, so different from the nose; ripe golden apple, cooked pear, and ripe melon, all accented with pepper spice. The finish offers more balanced sweetness, vanilla, and oak. The wood influence is strong, but aged and flavorful; not overdone, providing power beneath its flavors of honeyed sweetness.
