A mainstay of the annual series, Sazerac 18 year old doesn’t vary too much year to year, keeping the same age, low-rye mashbill, and proof. That said, the 2024 release finds a way to thrill, packing fresh spicy grain notes on the nose alongside eucalyptus, ripe cherries, and grape jelly. The palate is softer, and tantalizes with dark chocolate, tobacco ash, oak spice, and blueberries. A never-ending finish brings out the best of this rye, beautifully melding all the notes that came before. (Release date: 10/24)
