Single Malts of Scotland Glen Garioch 10 year old (Distilled in 2013), 57.1%

Creamy vanilla, peat smoke, candied orange, new book bindings, lime zest, and grassiness on the nose. At cask strength, a wave of peppery peat smoke takes over the initial star fruit, vanilla, and papaya, with some earthy, fibrous qualities to the peat. Light caramel, malt, and cacao develop and are buoyed by the smoke through to the finish. Water helps round out the flavors without altering the high-proof profile.
